“My arms grew tired from constantly reaching, so I wrapped them around myself and allowed them to rest.”

A Space for Support, Healing, and Growth

My Ethos of Care

I believe counselling is a sacred space—one where you can explore life’s challenges, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and feel supported as you move toward what matters most to you. I work collaboratively and gently, with an awareness of how social and systemic forces shape our lives.

My approach is person-centered and grounded in intersectional, non-pathologizing, and anti-oppressive frameworks.

I am passionate about uplifting BIPOC communities and women and I am especially passionate about working alongside caregivers as they navigate burnout, major life transitions, and the emotional weight of caring for others.

Maryam Haghshenas MC, RCC, RSW

My intention is to walk alongside you and offer a safe, inclusive space where you feel understood and supported.

Who I Support on Their Journey

I work with adults from many walks of life — from young adulthood through later years — who are navigating the very human seasons of change, responsibility, and transition. This includes parenting and caregiving, grief and loss, and the experience of the sandwich generation as they care for both children and aging parents.

I support adults living with chronic pain, ADHD, anxiety, depression, demanding careers, relational challenges (including infidelity and relational wounds), childhood trauma, and the weight of geopolitical or workplace stress.

My therapy approach is immersive and collaborative in a supported setting for healing.

Many of the people I meet are longing to live differently. They sense something needs to shift, yet feel uncertain how to move forward or free themselves from patterns that keep them feeling stuck.

Many of my clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or carrying more than they show on the outside. You may be adjusting to life transitions, caregiving roles, or changes you didn’t necessarily choose but are learning to live with.

My intention is to walk alongside you and offer a safe, inclusive space where you feel deeply understood, supported, and not alone in what you’re carrying. Together, we make space for your story, and the parts of you that are ready for care and attention. I draw on evidence-based approaches and a gentle, attuned presence to help you gain clarity, grounding, and a stronger connection to yourself.

I work collaboratively with clients, offering tools and support to help them navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience.

Over time and with commitment to their journey, many of my clients notice meaningful shifts — feeling more resilient, relating to themselves with greater ease and confidence, and experiencing improvements in their relationships. They often report finding themselves moving through life with more clarity, intention, and a renewed sense of possibility.
