“My arms grew tired from constantly reaching, so I wrapped them around myself and allowed the to rest.”-L.E. Bowen
My Ethos of Care
I believe counselling is a sacred space—one where you can explore life’s challenges, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and feel supported as you move toward what matters most to you. I work collaboratively and gently, with an awareness of how social and systemic forces shape our lives. I offer in-person counselling in Coquitlam and virtual therapy across British Columbia, supporting adults navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, and trauma. My work integrates EMDR therapy, CBT, and evidence base approaches in a warm, grounded, and collaborative space.
My approach is person-centered and grounded in intersectional, non-pathologizing, and anti-oppressive frameworks.
I support people from all walks of life, offering counselling that honours each person’s story, culture, and lived experience. I am deeply passionate about uplifting women and I feel especially called to walk alongside caregivers — those who give so much of themselves — as they move through burnout, life transitions, and the quiet emotional weight of caring for others. My work is rooted in compassion, healing, and meaningful change.

My intention is to walk alongside you and offer a safe, inclusive space where you feel understood and supported.
Who I Support on Their Journey
I have solid experience in providing counselling supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck while navigating life transitions, caregiving, and the pressures of everyday life. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside, yet internally feel exhausted, disconnected, or unable to switch off.
I support adults and caregivers—often women—who are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, and chronic stress, including those managing the demands of parenting or caring for aging parents. This includes support for individuals navigating caregiver burnout, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and grief and loss, particularly for those in the sandwich generation balancing multiple roles at once.
Many of my clients are used to being the strong one for others while carrying guilt, shame, and emotional overwhelm, often rooted in childhood experiences that continue to show up in adulthood. I also support individuals navigating relationship challenges, infidelity, family estrangement, workplace stress, and high-pressure careers, as well as those making sense of a late ADHD diagnosis.
A core part of my work focuses on nervous system regulation, helping you move out of survival mode so you can feel more grounded, clear, and in control. Together, we work toward building self-worth, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of direction, so you’re not just coping—but actually feeling better and more empowered in your life.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I also support clients impacted by geopolitical stress, cultural identity challenges, and ongoing uncertainty, which can deeply affect mental health. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness.
I offer in-person counselling in Coquitlam and virtual therapy across British Columbia, providing a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and move toward meaningful change.
My therapy approach is immersive and collaborative in a supported setting for healing.
Many of the people I meet are longing to live differently. They sense something needs to shift, yet feel uncertain how to move forward or free themselves from patterns that keep them feeling stuck.
Many of my clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or carrying more than they show on the outside. You may be adjusting to life transitions, caregiving roles, or changes you didn’t necessarily choose but are learning to live with.
My intention is to walk alongside you and offer a safe, inclusive space where you feel deeply understood, supported, and not alone in what you’re carrying. Together, we make space for your story, and the parts of you that are ready for care and attention. I draw on evidence-based approaches and a gentle, attuned presence to help you gain clarity, grounding, and a stronger connection to yourself.
I work collaboratively with clients, offering tools and support to help them navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience.
Over time and with commitment to their journey, many of my clients notice meaningful shifts — feeling more resilient, relating to themselves with greater ease and confidence, and experiencing improvements in their relationships. They often report finding themselves moving through life with more clarity, intention, and a renewed sense of possibility.
